Nestled in the protected eastern arm of Nggatokae Island, Peava is a village has a population of around 150. They are
mostly of Melanesian descent and are some of the friendliest people on this earth. It stretches for close to a mile along the sandy beach of the inner lagoon. It's woodcarvers are many and skilled; its yards lusciously
landscaped with orchids, hibiscus, frangipani (plumeria) and flowers I have yet to learn the names of. It is the home of the Wilderness Lodge and Solomon Dive Adventures.
Come and take a stroll with us through the village. PLEASE remember to dress modestly. Ladies, this means no bikinis or uncovered thighs. Long shorts or a pareo are fine. Men, no thongs, or Speedos, etc.
Regular shorts are A-OK. |
