Lisa Choquette
Living her dream in "retirement",  Lisa owned and operated Dive Makai Charters in Kailua-Kona, Hi, with former husband and still good friend Tom Shockley.  Together they built a business renowned for marine education, customer service, and the remarkable ability of their guides to find and communicate unusual animals and behaviors.  Her mission is to train Solomon Islanders  in the same model  to own and operate their own SCUBA business.

Russell Timothy -- Solomon Islands Business Partner and Project Consultant
Russell is a retired school teacher and principal;  when Lisa saw how well he knew everyone in Honiara, she hired him as consultant.  He certainly knows how to get the paperwork done and the proper channels through which to push and/or pursue it.  Russell's dream is a new kindy (kindergarten) in Peava.  At present, there is none.  A temporary one is under construction.  He and Lisa have a common bond in their goal of improving educational opportunities for the young people of Peava.

Wayne and Allan Wayne and granddaughter Pauline

Wayne Hooper Timothy -- Solomon Islands Project Manager
Wayne has taken over the management of building the entire physical plant – which has grown from Lisa's house to a small village.  Out on Vuana Point, we now have Lisa's house, guest house, workshop, two Shower/toilet buildings (small houses), generator and planer houses.  In Peava proper, a storage shed and dive shop and jetty are all becoming reality.  Wayne is unbelievably resourceful and a master planner.

Getting ready to dive       Reliance and granddaughter

Reliance Wayne -- Accountant/ labor management
Wayne's wife, Reliance, has the complicated job of recording every penny that Wayne spends.  She also makes sure our laborers are well fed and paid.  This is all on top of managing kids and three grand-kids, with number four due any day.  Oh ... and Reli is a mean net-ball player.

  Allan instructing Russell's son, Junior

Captain Allan Menep -- Assistant Dive Operations Manager
Allan has worked for several years as captain aboard both the Bilikiki and Spirit of Solomons  as well as 3 months with Dive Makai in Kona in 2004. He has lots of experience with divers and their equipment,  finding dive sites, managing boats, etc.  Certified by Lisa to Advanced Open water in Kona, Allan will probably be the first through Divemaster course. Allan hails from Ne'ele Village in Temotu province, but is looking forward to helping to build Solomon Dive Adventures into a first rate operation.  Allan holds a Class Four Master's license
.

Ebokolo (Ebo) Rusa -- Boat Driver
Ebo is our young, tireless, ever cheerful boat driver and errand runner.  He did his first dives in March, and is anxious to get certified and start on his divemaster course.

Tom Shockley -- SDA's US agent and contact
Tom really needs no introduction.  Associated with Lisa and Dive Makai Charters for many many years, he has agreed to be our US agent and contact person.  .
